Action instituted by the plaintiffs Maynard Electric Steel Casting Company (hereinafter referred to as Maynard Steel) and
Hardware Mutual Casualty Company, its workmen's compensation insurance carrier, pursuant to section 102.23, Stats., against
the defendants Industrial Commission of Wisconsin, Walter Gliniecki, Allis Blast Company (hereinafter referred to as Allis
Blast) and American Mutual Liability Insurance Company (the workmen's compensation insurance carrier for Allis Blast) to review
an interlocutory order of said commission adjudging workmen's compensation benefits to said Gliniecki. Gliniecki filed an application with the commission dated December 15, 1953, for workmen's compensation benefits against Maynard
Steel and Allis Blast, his former employers, and their respective insurance carriers, in which he alleged that he had a disabling
silicosis. Hearings were held on said application before two examiners, who, acting in behalf of the commission, under date
of June 29, 1954, made and entered findings of fact and an interlocutory order, the material portions of which provided as
follows:
